The Wedding Paradox

Singing at weddings/engagements. A wonderful and not so wonderful paradox. I've found that the very limited list of songs to chose from to sing at Christian weddings is rather frustrating; so I decided to write my own. In case you're wondering this is wholly inspired by other wedding songs and nothing more.

Beautiful Thought

You were a beautiful thought
In the Maker's heart
So He used His favorite colors when He made you
Now you are
My most beautiful thought
And as we're about to start
Our life's story together I give you
All of my heart

I'll take this pen and I'll write
A faithful story of care and devotion
My deepest love I will give you
And it will mirror the love of Christ
He made you with His hand
In the other He'd already made me
And just before He was finished
Made our hearts beat together like He'd planned

It's in the way that you laugh with me
It's in the way you look at me
It's in the way that you love our Maker
Who thought us together
Now we'll be
A most beautiful thought

I Would Never

So then let's continue in the spirit of unconventional posts. In all honesty I would never write a song about rainbows and butterflies. Or flowers. No matter who you are. Oh and if you don't like it please just stop the music. If you're here for the first time I promise we'll be getting back to normal music soon! Stay tuned.

Interruption

So I had really elaborate plans for what I was going to do with this mvlog [music & video blog] but there's been an interruption. This won't be the standard post but then again there really is no standard yet. It's a really simple worship song (yes the kind that IPA loves) like "Alpha & Omega" and of course "We Exalt Thee". Now that I think about it we might reprise with that. God threw this one at me for the church and convention tonight. Seeya there!

Exalt The Name

Exalt the Name
Exalt the Name of the Lord
Hands lifted high
Raise your voices in one cry

Exalt the Name
Exalt the Name of the Lord
Jesus who died
And is returning in the skies

As we; as we exalt Your Name
Let Your glory fill this place
Reveal to us the wonder of Your grace
